On 4th April the he Territorial command of faro, through the criminal investigation unit of Loulé, detained three men, aged between 22 and 25 years, for drug trafficking, acquisition of False currency, intended for circulation, and possession of prohibited weapon, on the highway motorway next to the locality of Olhão.
The drug trafficking investigation, which started about a year ago, was aimed at a network of traffickers, who supplied several areas of the Algarve with narcotic products, namely hash and cocaine.
Through a police operation, which also involved the transit unit of faro, it was possible to stop the three suspects and perform two searches searches, which culminated in the apprehension of the following:
• 21 100 doses of hash;
• EUR 5 360 in false notes;
• Two drones;
• Two vehicles;
• Seven Mobile phones;
• A firearm and an alarm gun;
• One Walkie Talkie;
• EUR 215 in cash;
• Various ammunition.
The suspects, all with criminal priors for drug trafficking and forbidden weapon detention, were detained at the GNR facilities and appeared on 5th April at the faro judicial court.
