The Judicial Police, through the Southern Board have identified and detained a man for the alleged felony robbery.
The crime occurred on 10 February, inside the Lagos branch of the Mutual Agricultural Credit Bank, when the suspect, armed with the replica firearm, summoned the cashier to hand him the sum of about € 1300.
As part of the investigation that led to the arrest of the defendant, about € 600 and the pistol used were recovered.
The 58-year-old detainee with a criminal record will be present to the competent judicial authorities for the enforcement of coercion measures deemed appropriate.
