On 4th January at 09h45 the PSP in Vila Real de Santo António the PSP conducted a road surveillance operation during which they detained a foreign citizen, 51 years old, for drug trafficking.
The person who was stopped in the operation was not carrying any identification document, and a result the person was searched. As a result of this and a search of the vehicle, a total of 498 doses of hashish, several packages of cannabis seeds, a package containing cannabis, totalling 144 doses, a mobile phone and 200 euros in cash.
A house search of the suspect was subsequently conducted whereupon two plates of hashish, eleven pots containing 28 plants and several seeds of the same product, two containers with seeds and leaves and also a greenhouse for cultivation of the plants, two precision scales, a mill to grind cannabis, three digital thermometers and a kit to measure pH, were discovered and seized.
As a result of action a total of 1687 doses hashish and 379 doses of cannabis was seized.
